Bora Bora is an island surrounded by a barrier reef and a lagoon.   A Polynesian area, Bora Bora is well-known for its rooms and villas that are located out over the crystal blue water.  Bora Bora is famous for its over-water bungalows in both independent and brand name resorts. 

Bora Bora features many water-oriented activities including dolphin encounters, shark/ray feeding adventures, and various other watersports.  SCUBA diving and snorkeling are very popular.

The island is small and intimate with very limited development.  As such, nightlife is limited.
